ARTISANS IN THE FIELD
The Cooperative mainly deals with training and job placement projects for disadvantaged people, in order to promote and disseminate good social farming practices. On average, 7 to 9 people sent by the local social services are involved.
Our activities are those of agricultural daily life, with a specialization for operations in the vineyard that are rigorously carried out by hand, from pruning to harvest.
VINEYARD RESTORERS
We operate in different vineyards, from those in breeding to those in full production and we follow all the operations: winter pruning, green pruning, defoliation and harvest.
We are the guardians of a 60-year-old vineyard, a traditional tent called Bellussi, which remains the only form of lowland farming that falls within the definition of heroic viticulture. The whole vineyard is supported by supporting poles and by a complex system of tie rods, the vines grow in height and have a very low density per hectare.
This type of farming was the most widespread until the 70s / 80s, then with the advent of mechanization they have almost all been explanted.
Today they are a rarity in our territory, so much so that they are considered museum vineyards.
BIODYNAMIC
It is essential for the Cooperative to have moments that we define as decompression, where you can give free rein to the individual passions and peculiarities of people.
The complexity of our agricultural organism naturally creates these spaces which include: the vegetable garden, the garden of aromatic and ornamental herbs, without forgetting the farmyard animals and the lake. In these moments we work by training children in the practice of Biodynamic agriculture, an agricultural method that respects the environment and promotes fertility and biodiversity, so as to be able to also provide the basis for healthy food education.
